The proposed Digital Air Traffic Services (DAATS) Facility at 1114 Len Birchall Way, Kingston, Ontario, marks a groundbreaking step in Canadian aviation. Strategically located within the YGK Kingston Airport, this innovative single storey facility spans approximately 4,415 sq. ft. and is designed as a transitional hub that will redefine air navigation services.

As the first of its kind in Canada, the Kingston DAATS Facility will not only serve local operations but also support an additional airport, paving the way for the country’s first permanent digital air traffic hub. This hub will eventually manage remote services for up to 20 airports, showcasing a major advancement in air traffic management.

By leveraging cutting edge digital technology, DAATS facilities enable NAV CANADA to oversee multiple airports from a single location, enhancing resilience, sustainability, and adaptability. This forward thinking approach ensures continued high quality services for pilots, operators, and communities across Canada.
