The BC Housing Modular Supportive Housing and Shelter project, located in Hope, BC, is a development that will provide comprehensive housing solutions for the local community. The project consists of 56 supportive housing units and 15 shelter beds, with additional capacity to accommodate 15 Extreme Weather Response shelter beds during the winter months. The ground floor level of the building will include shelter beds, office spaces, a dining room, gathering spaces, a commercial kitchen, and medical rooms. Additionally, it will house washrooms, laundry and janitorial facilities. The second and third floor levels will be dedicated to supportive housing units, each complete with bathrooms and a kitchenette.  The construction of the three-storey building will utilize wood modular construction techniques, with the modules being built off-site. The foundations, roofing, and cladding, however, will be completed on-site. The Hope Area & Transitional Society will operate the building and provide 24/7 wrap-around support services. This will be facilitated through an operator agreement with BC Housing, ensuring that residents receive the support they need.
