This affordable housing project on Sparks Street in the City of Sudbury is specifically designed for seniors. This project, which consists of 14 units, is strategically located in proximity to the Lorraine Street project (also a Buttcon Modular project). The Sparks Street project is a significant addition to the community, providing much-needed affordable housing units for seniors. Originally, the project was tendered as a conventional build. However, the design model was later changed to a modular approach. This shift to modular construction was primarily due to its cost-effectiveness and the speed at which it could be completed. The modular segments are constructed off-site and then assembled on-site, much like puzzle pieces. This method of construction has proven to be less expensive and faster, making it an efficient solution for the urgent need for affordable housing in the community.
